Rodney Johnson
Regional Livestock Specialist
LSU AgCenter
Small Ruminant Program Coordinator & Superintendent and Superintendent at the LSU State show and the State Fair of Louisiana.
I began my career with LSU AgCenter in 1988 as an 4-H Agent. In 2012 I became County Agent serving Rapides and Grant parishes. In 2016 I was appointed as an Regional Livestock Coordinator.
I started my judging career in around 1992 and have since that time. I judge 25-30 parish, county, District and Breed Association shows each year. I love to judge cattle, sheep, goats, broilers and do a few rabbit shows as well.
I enjoy working with youth and watching them grow and build life skills through livestock projects.
My free time is spent with my family, and a lot of that time is usually spent doing something with livestock or at an rodeo.
